The Africa Green Transition Summit 2027 is a flagship three-day climate, carbon, and sustainability conference convened by Ingenious Green Energy at the Elephant Hills Hotel in Victoria Falls, Republic of Zimbabwe. Designed to move Africa “From NDC priorities to Pipeline development and financing: Accelerating Africa’s Just Transition, Climate Finance, and Market Mechanics “, the Summit serves as an action-oriented platform connecting international financiers, sovereign actors, project developers, innovators, and local communities.
The Summit integrates all core pillars of green transition: Means of implementation, including Climate Finance (Adaptation, Mitigation, Loss & Damage), Carbon Markets (Article 6 & Voluntary), and a Just Transition.
The event features Southern Africa’s first high-profile Inaugural Carbon Credit Auction on Day 3 alongside structured B2B/B2G Deal Rooms, followed on Saturday by an independent, yet related marathon event, the “Run for the Planet” Green Marathon and a target to plant 50,000+ trees equivalent to participant engagement.
OUR MESSAGE
Across adaptation, mitigation, loss and damage, just transition, and carbon and nature markets, the central priority for the African continent and developing countries in general should be to ensure that climate action supports sustainable development rather than creating additional economic and social burdens. International climate finance must therefore become more accessible, predictable and responsive to developing-country circumstances, while domestic policy and institutional frameworks should be strengthened to attract investment, build resilience, create jobs, support industrialisation and ensure that the benefits of the transition are equitably shared.

VENUE & TRAVEL
Passports: Must be valid for at least 6 months past your departure date with 2 to 3 blank pages.
Visas: South African passport holders do not require a tourist visa for Zimbabwe. Other nationalities can typically obtain a visa on arrival (around US$30–US$55 for single entry).
Flights: Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) has direct & indirect scheduled flights from major Intl airports.
Viewpoints: The Zimbabwean side holds about 75% of the waterfall system with 16 distinct walking viewpoints (such as the Main Falls and Danger Point) along paved rainforest trails. Expect to get wet from the spray.
Accommodation: We recommend that our guests stay at the Elephant Hills Hotel, although there are plenty of accommodation facilities within the vicinity of the conference that are of International standard

Event: The "Run for the Planet" Green Marathon (An Independent Civic & Sporting Partnership)
Translating High-Level Policy and Corporate Commitments into Visible, Grassroots Environmental Action
- The Route: Scenic course looping through Victoria Falls, symbolizing Southern Africa’s dynamic sprint toward its 2030 climate goals.
- Participants: Open to summit delegates, local communities, youth groups, regional athletes, and international visitors (Targeting 5,000+ runners).
Symbolic Tree Planting Ceremony
- The Action: A mass greening initiative where a native tree is planted for every registered marathon participant, directly contributing to Zimbabwe’s Presidential 50 Million Trees Campaign.
Closing Community Celebration & Awards
- Award ceremony for marathon winners, recognition of grassroots climate champions, and official hand-over of community-managed seedling stations.
